Personal power helps us to move through our limited beliefs of what is possible for ourselves, for our relationships, and for the world.
When we're in a situation that causes us pain, there are three possible choices. We can do something about it (or try to), accept it, or endure it. If the personal power isn't developed, more often than not we'll endure situations that are uncomfortable.
These patterns of giving our power away can take root in childhood—wanting to please a parent, seeking love and approval from outside sources, and can still shape our behaviors as adults.
