Golden Milk is a traditional Ayurvedic beverage from India. It has many health benefits. Here is how you make it:
1 Quart of Your Favorite milk*
3-5 Pieces of Turmeric
1-2 Pieces of Ginger
Powdered Turmeric (optional)
2 cups Water
First mix water, turmeric, and ginger in a blender. Pulse a few times. Now pour mixture into a saucepan. Cover and heat on medium for about 10-20 minutes. Next filter using a French Press. This is what gives the Golden Milk its flavor. Mix about 1/4 of the ginger/turmeric liquid with 1 cup of milk (or desired amount) and warm in a saucepan. Sprinkle with turmeric powder. Add honey if desired. EnJOY.
*If your intention is to reduce inflammation you may consider using organic coconut or almond milk instead of cow's milk.
